I'm learning as I go so bare with me. Turns out that I was trying to use a mica powder colorant in a non-suspension base. basically the base I was using let all the floaters sink to the bottom or rise to the top instead of letting them be suspended (floating) anyhoo, that's a bunch of business lingo, so here's what I had to do to fix it instead of throwing out a hundo worth of product. I poured each one through a micro filter to eliminate the mica particles (at least most of them) and then used liquid dye to bring some color back. Are they perfect? well, no but I didn't have to pour them down the drain. There may me a fragrance or two that has to be shaken to mix up the particles the filter didn't get but once again, I saved a hundo by doing it this way. Luckily this only affected 12 bottles. I will have the new base by 7/26/26 and the liquid dye is already in stock so I can start making the hand soap in any fragrance the customers order after that point. So thanks for going through this learning process with me and go buy some of my soap!
So as I get further into the waterless scent machine R&D I am quickly discovering that the target audience for this product isn't being reached heck, they don't even know it yet!
I had to zero quantity all the hand soaps until I iron out the kinks. My bad for being too quick to launch without finishing the R&D first. There's a reason it says in the Bible that patience is a virtue, lesson learned.
Any business who produces products has to go through R&D of each product or else their products would be all over the place consistency wise.
